Emotional Intelligence

“...emotional intelligence accounts for 80 percent of career success.”  Daniel Goleman

While IQ (Intelligence Quotient) has been in common practice for over 100 years, Emotional Intelligence has a far more recent history dating back 30 years. Brought to prominence in 1995 by Daniel Goleman in his book , "Emotional Intelligence", it answered the question why people with average IQs outperformed those with the highest IQs 70% of the time.

Emotional Intelligence is now a core competency, not only for leadership but for all interpersonal and group interactions.

Emotional Intelligence is both about self and others.

1. Self Awareness

2. Self Management

3. Social Awareness

4. Relationship Management
